Ok, so I guess I'll get the ball rolling by introducing myself. My name is Roy Lazarovich, I'm 34 years old, married, and working as head of development for a company that provides a full exhibition booth solution to companies in the medical and pharma industry, from building the actual booth, to designing print material, to interactive applications running at the booth on large touch screens or iPads, which is where my department fits in. I've grown along-side personal computers, my first computer was a 286 XT with a CGA monitor, and I was there to watch the development of the PC, through increasingly faster CPUs, more on-screen colors, early networking and the BBS era and so on.. My first console was an Atari 2600 and from there I've gone through several Famicom clones, a SEGA Mega Drive, a Gameboy, as well as several GBA and DS models, a PSP, a Dingo A320 and now a JXD S7300 Android gaming tablet which I love. I've started programming from a very young age, because I was fascinated with the idea of creating my own games where I set the rules, my first language was, like for many others at the time, BASIC. I was, and still am, a great fan of graphic Adventure Games, and I still play the classics on my Android tablet on the train on the way to and from work. As for VR, I was always intrigued by the possibility of being transported into a different world, my first headset was the VFX-1, which I didn't like very much. I got the idea for MemoRift after hearing about the Oculus Rift, and thinking to myself how cool it could be to create a virtual environment filled with virtual representations for all the things I loved when I was a kid, I still used the software to this day, but using VR, I'd be able to use the software on the virtual hardware, and explore content that I haven't yet been exposed to, in that virtual room.
